I have been on the faculty of the Sweetland Center for Writing at the University of Michigan since Fall 2012, and in July 2022 I became the Director of the Lloyd Scholars for Writing and the Arts. I also have served as Dzanc Writer-in-Residence at Ann Arbor Open School most years since 2007, and led workshops at the Neutral Zone for over a decade, both as facilitator of the Short Story Workshop and as poetry instructor for the Volume Summer Institute.
